Terms of Use
1. Agreement
These Terms apply when you install or use the Sant Tabs Chrome extension (the “Extension”). By using it, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Extension.
These Terms are between you and the developer of Sant Tabs, based in New Zealand.
2. The service
Sant Tabs is free software for tab and window management. It provides visual tab and window views, search, grouping, duplicate detection, sleep, saved collections, scheduling, keyboard navigation, themes, local Smart Organize, and optional on-device page summaries.
There is no charge for any feature. There is no account. Everything runs locally on your device.
3. Local features
Page summaries
Page summaries are off by default. If you enable them and grant website access, Sant Tabs reads eligible page text and produces summaries on your device using Chrome's built-in Summarizer. Short summaries can be cached locally for a limited period. Page text is not sent anywhere by this feature.
Smart Organize
Smart Organize uses deterministic category, site, and shared-keyword rules inside the extension, with no model and no network connection. Suggestions can still be incomplete or unsuitable, so review them before applying.

4. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 to use the Extension. If you are under the legal age of majority where you live, you need permission from a parent or guardian.
You can stop using Sant Tabs at any time by clearing its local data or uninstalling it.
5. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use the Extension unlawfully;
- attempt to bypass or interfere with Chrome or its security controls; or
- misrepresent your relationship with Sant Tabs.
6. Open-source licence and brand
Source code identified as being under the MIT Licence can be used under the repository's LICENSE file. These Terms do not restrict rights granted by that licence.
The Sant Tabs name, logo, website content, artwork, and other material outside that source licence remain protected by applicable law. You may not imply endorsement or use the Sant Tabs brand misleadingly.
7. Availability and changes
We may maintain, modify, add, remove, suspend, or discontinue features. Some features can be unavailable because of browser compatibility, device conditions, or changes made by Google or Chrome.
8. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sant Tabs is provided “as is” and “as available” without express or implied warranties. We do not guarantee that it will always be available, error-free, secure, compatible with every Chrome version or device, or suitable for every purpose.
Grouping, sleep, scheduling, import, export, and summaries can fail or produce unexpected results. Keep independent copies of important collections or exported data.
Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable New Zealand consumer rights.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive loss, or for loss of data, use, opportunity, or goodwill arising from Sant Tabs.
Where liability cannot be excluded, the developer's aggregate liability relating to the Extension is limited to NZD 50, except where a greater remedy is required by law.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The revision date above identifies the latest version. If you do not agree to an updated version, stop using the Extension.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by New Zealand law. Any mandatory rights or jurisdiction available to you under applicable law remain unaffected.
