1. Core local features

To display and manage tabs, Sant Tabs reads tab URLs, titles, favicons, IDs, activity and pinned state, window membership, and Chrome Tab Group information through Chrome's extension APIs.

Chrome local storage can hold interface preferences, custom window names and rules, saved collections, scheduled items, and feature choices. Short-lived tab access timestamps used for sleep decisions use session storage.

Sant Tabs does not maintain a persistent browsing-history or behaviour-analytics profile. It does not use advertising or third-party analytics and does not sell personal information.

Smart Organize analyses up to 100 regular web tabs with deterministic category, site, and shared-keyword rules inside the extension. There is no model and no network request. It does not send tab titles, URLs, summaries, or suggestions anywhere.

2. Optional page summaries

Page summaries are off by default. Enabling them requires an in-product explanation and Chrome's optional website-access permission.

• Sant Tabs can read text from up to 20 eligible open pages in a batch, with extracted text capped at 25,000 characters per page.
• Summaries are produced by Chrome's built-in Summarizer API (Gemini Nano), which runs on your device. Chrome downloads that model directly from Google, independently of Sant Tabs.
• Your page text never leaves your device and is never sent to us.
• A short summary can be cached locally, keyed by the full page URL, for up to seven days. The cache is limited to 500 entries.

Turning summaries off stops future page reading. Existing cached summaries expire or can be removed by clearing Sant Tabs' local data or uninstalling the extension.

3. Notifications and in-page feedback

Scheduled items can produce a Chrome or operating-system notification five minutes before opening and after a failed attempt. A notification can show the saved item, tab, window, or collection name and time, and may remain in platform notification history under your device settings.

A context-menu command can temporarily show a small confirmation in the active regular webpage using Chrome's temporary activeTab grant. It is removed automatically and is not used to read or transmit page content.

4. Network requests

Sant Tabs makes no network requests of its own. Core tab management, Smart Organize, page summarisation, and site icons never send tab data anywhere. The only outbound link in the product is the tabs.onl website link, which opens only if you click it, and ordinary browser navigation when you open a link, restore a tab, or reopen a scheduled item.

5. Previously offered Cloud Sync

Earlier versions of Sant Tabs (through 1.4.x) offered an optional Cloud Sync feature: users who chose to sign in with Google had their saved collections and scheduled items stored on our Firebase servers. Version 1.5.0 removes Google sign-in and Cloud Sync entirely. No new data is sent to Firebase, and any data previously stored there from earlier sign-ins will be deleted. If you signed in before and want your stored data deleted sooner, email hey@tabs.onl.

6. Retention and deletion

Clear cached page summaries in Advanced Settings. Clear Sant Tabs' storage in Chrome or uninstall the extension to remove all local data. You can export supported data as JSON first.

7. Permissions

• tabs and tabGroups: display, search, save, move, group, sleep, schedule, reopen, and close tabs.
• storage: save local feature data and preferences.
• alarms: handle sleep checks and scheduled reopening.
• contextMenus and sidePanel: provide optional Chrome interfaces.
• scripting and optional website access: create opt-in local page summaries.
• activeTab: show feedback for a context-menu action on the page where you invoked it.
• notifications: show scheduled-tab warnings, snooze controls, and open failures.
• favicon: display icons through Chrome's local favicon cache.

Sant Tabs is not available in Incognito mode.

8. Security

No method of storage or transmission is completely risk-free, so absolute security is not promised. All of your data stays on your device, under Chrome's own storage protections.

9. Children

Sant Tabs is not directed to children under 13. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, use it only with the permission required by applicable law.

10. Changes and contact

We may update this policy when Sant Tabs or its data practices change. The date above identifies the latest revision. Material changes should be disclosed before newly affected data is collected or transmitted where consent is required.
